Description

Designed by the creative French master Jean Charles de Castelbajac in 1988, a limited run of these coats were brought to life to bring joy to the dark days of the 1980s ravaged by the AIDS pandemic. Luminary stylist & artist Lysa Cooper was the perfect muse to sport this huggable piece of joy as she romped from Paris to London to NYC & LA. Mingling with close friends Keith Harring & Stephen Sprouse in NYC & Westwood in London. First exhibited in Miami during Art Week 2017 the piece caught International press and JCdC himself also spoke about the iconic piece once again. Pieces from this collection which was titled “ACCUMULATIONS” were exhibited in The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the CAMP exhibition. Pieces from the collection can be seen in the 1994 film ‘Pret-a-Porte’ and Lady Gaga famously wore his Kermit ACCUMULATION piece in 2009. We have had innumerable celebrities in this piece from Katie Couric to Heidi Klum, because who can resist being bundled up in such joy.
